YES, I HAVE DONE THIS ...NOT AS THE MAIN TV BUT... IF THE DIRECT TV HAS A SECOND VIDEO OUT HDMI JACK THEN YOU CAN RUN A HDMI (MALE TO MALE) CABLE FROM YOUR TV THAT ALREADY HAS DIRECT TV ON IT, TO THE 24" INSIGNIA TV TO THE HDMI IN PORT ON THE BACK HDMI 1. THEN JUST SELECT HDMI 1 ON THE SCREEN TO PLAY THE SAME THING THAT IS PLAYING ON THE MAIN TV RUNNING DIRECT TV.

You can connect your DirecTV receiver to the TV using an HDMI cable. Once connected, you can use the TV’s input settings to switch to the HDMI port where your DirecTV receiver is connected. As for interacting with your LG TV, if you mean using both TVs simultaneously with DirecTV, you can do that by connecting each TV to a separate DirecTV receiver. If you want to mirror or extend the display from one TV to another, you would need additional equipment like an HDMI splitter or a wireless HDMI transmitter.
