No. One speaker contains all of your controls, switches and inputs. The second speaker connects via supplied speaker wire. I highly recommend this set up! It sounds amazing! Connecting a subwoofer to this system is also a plus. You get a SUBOUT that really increases the sound spectrum. You will not be disappointed with this system.
