Placing it inside an enclosed cupboard is generally not recommended unless the cupboard is specifically modified to allow for adequate airflow. Without proper ventilation, heat can build up around the unit, potentially reducing its cooling performance, shortening its lifespan, or even creating a fire hazard. If you still plan to place it in a cupboard, make sure there is enough clearance around the sides, back, and top, and that the space has ventilation openings to allow heat to escape.
