• I would let unit seat for a few after turning it off. Always good rule of thumb

• If you asking if you shouldn't turn on yet, then I wouldn't turn it on till it has been upright till about 24 hrs because it could protentionally damage the compressor. Also it should've came with the vent/hose it was hidden toward the top of my box.
