Hi! This TV's width is of 51.3 inches, so as you can see, 40 inches from the furniture that you have are not enough to set the TV on. We usually recommend the furniture to be the same size (the space where you will be placing the TV) as the size of the TV, in this case 58 inches to avoid any accident if by chance you move the TV to connect another product for example.
