It is possible to use in the car but would not be ideal. the phone has to stay on top of charger and if you were driving it would most likely slide around,
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The cord has a typical USB end that you could plug in to a car adapter that has an output of 2 A. This unit is flat so you would need some way to attach the phone to it so it doesn't slide off in the car.

Almost all chargers come apart this way now, so assuming you have a newish car charger, I don't see any reason this wouldn't work. Disclaimer: I don't own this product. This is just a guess based on majority of today's electronics that I own.
