Yes, there is a problem with such a long distance. I have some experience with trying to do what you are needing and the solution is to get a repeater for the cable. It strengthens the signal. I have done it many times with USB cables.

Please try again later.When you daisy chain them the signal is dropped, currently there is no amplifier for this cable and its the reason why Sony only made the cable so long. I did by the extension and it did work though. In you situation you are just gonna have to have the PS4 out, I have the vr set up and I too have a closet for my stuff, but the ps4 is the only one I had to leave out due to cord length issues. not much of a help I know but its the only thing i knew of to do.
