“Can't find a right Cable to connect PC laptop to the TV I bought a plasma TV from BestBuy. I have bought several cables to connect my laptop to the TV but no cables seem to work. Laptop doesn't have HDMI connection but DVI/DVI N and the TV has only HDMI connection. What would be the right cable that would connect my laptop to this TV?”

• Should work for the video. Keep in mind DVI is video only. You will still need to establish a feed for your audio.

• You can use the Dvi-d to HDMI cable for your application if your laptop has a DVI connection. You can also get a USB-HDMI adapter and use a basic HDMI cable to if that works in your application. J5 makes great products.

• This cable should work if your laptop has the usual VGI connection out and the TV has the HDMI connection in.

• All I can say is that the cable worked for me. My laptop only has DVI, and the TV needs HDMI. Plugged it in, it worked.

• Just buy the hdmi - dvi adapter with cord.... I only saw one at nest buy... Ten connect a dvi to dvi from your laptop to the adapter.... Then plug the hdmi from the adapter to the tv..... Hope this helps.....btw, how does your laptop come with a dvi? It must be a older model

• DVI connections come in various types. This article shows what each of them looks like: http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/pc-peripheral/how-tell-dvi-i-dvi-d-cables-apart-3365585/ This connector is a DVI-D (single link). Look at your laptop and see if it matches.

• This should be the right cable. Check the back of the box and it list all dvi connections this product works for, but dvi to hdmi is the way to go to connect to your tv.

• The cable is only good if your graphics card supports DVI to HDMI. Find out your card specs and find the manual to see if it supports it.
