Can I transport lying on side? null

I did. but you should not plug it in and turn it on until it has been in its location for a while. I think the manual mentioned this, because you may jostle it around while moving it. I put it in my basement and waited a day before turning it on. it has been running for a few weeks now, no issues

Not a good idea but if you have to make sure when you turn it on or plug it in let it sit for 24 hours in correct up right position.

The packaging was done well so I would think you can. Not being the manufacturer I would not know if it could compromise the unit.

No if you don't have a truck you'll have to have it delivered.
