I couldn't make this purchase based on reviews, because Insignia has never had deep freezers before now. I have always expected high quality from other Best Buy Insignia item, such as televisions. The freezer is super quite. Is maintaining good temps with about 75lbs of meat with the thermostat set mid-way. I would highly recommend thise freezer!

I was replacing an old fridge freezer combo for my garage I had recently purchased a commercial fridge but I still needed a freezer I found this freezer at Best Buy it had great reviews so I took a chance and I couldn’t be happier. I initially wanted a smaller size but I couldn’t pass up the extra room and I am pleasantly surprised and how cold it keeps everything I put in it. From ice to additional food storage. I keep steaks, ground beef, chicken plus I still have plenty of room for drinks, and ice cream Love my new freezer

This freezer is nice-smaller yet plenty of room. Great for extra storage of bulky items & meat. Temp dial turned about half way & plenty cold enough. Replaced an old upright in the garage with this one & couldn't be happier with it.

Pros, U can fit in it. Has a thermostat. @1/2 turn I get -5 constantly. Very good price. cons, none. no inside light, so what? don't need one in kitchen.

When I picked this freezer up (only one in the store) there was no physical damage evident from the outside but after I unboxed it, I found physical damage in at least two places. Since it seems to function with no issues, I've decided to keep it. So far it has kept all food frozen. Glad I purchase the extended warranty.

Had a little doubt about the brand but using the online reviews as a guide resulted in a very reasonable risk taken! Working so quietly and peacefully, no scratch nor dent when i unwrapped the freezer . Great price and product....most reasonable risk i have taken in a while!.

We have this freezer in our basement. We use it for bulk purchases of meats, ice cream, veggies, etc. it’s just right amount of space to free up space in the refrigerator. It’s very quiet. It’s difficult to even know if it’s running without looking at the blue power light. The door does fly open if you don’t have a good grip on it. When I say fly, I mean if the freezer is empty it will tip it backwards. We realized it’s best to use both hands. All and all, we were very happy with this freezer. And then,... After a few months we noticed the frostline around the inside began to recede gradually. And now, 6 months after purchase it no longer keeps anything frozen. It’s a good thing we were keeping an eye on it or we could’ve lost hundreds of dollars in meat. I am, at this very moment, on hold with Insignia support. I have been on hold now for 14 minutes and have yet to speak to a human. Ah ha, finally a rep answered. I explained the problem. He kindly took the required info and provided me with a confirmation number to exchange the freezer for a replacement. Other than the long wait to speak to someone, the call went very well. Randy, the agent was polite and efficient. Now to return this freezer in exchange for a replacement. I will update my review if all does not go smoothly.

I am real happy with my purchase. Needed a 2nd freezer and this one was perfect. It fits right in the kitchen, so no more running downstairs to the freezer in the basement

So after reading many reviews and looking at models in store we decided to go with this one. Everything was great at first and worked just fine. The primary purpose of this was to store our baby's breast milk that my wife had been producing as a deep freeze is the best way to store for long term use. The one we purchased was brand new. On day 34 of use my wife went to place some milk inside the storage and noticed the temperature gauge was reading 30 degrees fahrenheit versus the -10 as normal. The power light was on and it was set close to the max setting. After further looking over we noticed oil leaking from the bottom. The freezer does not work after 34 days of use.

Triple check for damages, mine was dented at the bottom when I unboxed it at home.

It looks like this was dropped at Best Buy. Got it home, took the packaging off only to find this brand new freezer incredibly beat up. I saw that a few other reviews had this issue as well so this doesn’t seem to be an isolated incident..

The freezer works great. My main issue is that it has a huge dent in the front bottom right corner by the power light. After picking it up, getting it home and unboxing it I didn’t feel like reboxing it and taking it back. There really should be some better quality control for items or at least some compensation for customers who keep aesthetically damaged items.

Bought for a keezer build. Works great. With an 8” coupler I fit four corny kegs of my delicious home brew.

The freezer is working fine. Our issue was that we picked it up at the store and when we took the packaging off at our facility location the freezer had a "crowbar" dent in the side of it. It was too much for our volunteer delivery person to return the freezer to the store, so we just used it. Wished we could have returned it, but being a nonprofit organization we have limited resources.
