Thank you for your inquiry! The Insignia™ 8-Device Backlit Universal Remote (model NS-RMT8D21) does not have a specific 'record' or 'play recorded' feature. However, it does offer a learnability feature, which allows the remote to learn additional functions from your original remote. This can be useful for customizing the remote to suit your needs.
