“If i use this on a computer will the light turn off when the computer goes into sleep mode and come on again when you the computer "wakes up"?”

I have mine plugged into the USB of my monitors and it stays on regardless of the sleep status of my computer.

If you have your PC power settings set to providing power via the USB port while it's off, then the lights will remain on. If your PC has it where its not powering the usb ports while off, then your lights will turn off while the PC is off and turn back on when your PC is on, as long as you didnt touch the power button on the lights themsslves.

When i turn my computer to sleep mode, power still goes to the LED strip, keeping it on, and will require you to manually turn it off using the controller that comes with it. If you plan out the install, you can set it up so the controller can be reached easily, making it simple to turn on and off.
