QuestionHow do you reset control it comes on and quickly shut off

- Answer I assume you are getting power from a TV. The usb port you are using is too weak. Try another one rated for a portable hard drive or use an external power supply. The strip requires 5VDC, 1A @ full brightness. When the power supply is too weak, the strip flickers or shuts off.

QuestionI installed these lights a few minutes ago but noticed that the little control box gets really hot to the touch almost immediately after turning the light on, anyone else encounter this?

- Answer yes, it does get very warm just turn down the brightness

- Answer Hello; these Insignia Led Lights can be mounted any place which is indoors, as they are not waterproof for outdoor use. Hope this helps.

QuestionI purchased two for kitchen under cabinet lights. One string, the white has a very blue cast to it the other a red cast. I can’t get them to be synced up to just pure white. Taking them back unless someone has an answer

- Answer Hello; I myself also purchased two of these Insignia LED-Lights Kits which I installed above and below my kitchen cabinets and both light kits work identically in whatever color I choose. You may have one set which is defective, so bring one back and exchange it for another one. Hope this helps.

QuestionHave 2 of these. One for each child. They each set them up in their bedrooms, however, when you turn them on, they both come on, and turn them off they both go off. One controller unfortunately reaches both sets of lets. Is there a way to prevent this?

- Answer Unfortunately not that I know of, because I think they use radio signal or something for remote signal instead of standard infrared. This is why you can use the remote without having to have it point at the lights or even be within line of sight. I’m sure the signal isn’t super strong so the further apart they are, and the more obstacles in the way that cause interference, can block the signal from one remote to the other light.

- Answer I checked the specs on Best Buy's product page and there is nothing about how much current they draw. If you knew how much current they draw, it would be trivial to calculate how long a 4000mah battery would last. They don't even list how many LEDs per meter which would help estimate draw. Maybe someone who bought it can tell us what the specs are in the product documentation.

- Answer SIMPLY PLUG INTO ANY USB, ON YOUR LAPTOP OR A USB CHARGER PORT ON THE PLUG. IT WILL TURN ON THE LEDS. THERE ARE DIFFERENT COLORS AND DIFFERENT INTESITY CONTROL. ALSO IF YOU WANT TO MOUNT IT SOMEWHERE, YOU WILL NEED A USB SOURCE NEAR BY.

- Answer Peel the adhesive backing off the lights, then adhere the lights where you want them. Every surface is different, and additional adhesive may be used if the LED tape detaches from the surface. Small pieces of clear tape can be used.

QuestionWhy do my Insignia 16ft rgb lights keep changing color on their own. I have two 16 ft strips running in tandem that both turn on with one control. It worked fine for a while but now after about an hour of them being turned on they switch to red.
