Yes, this would work. I bought a different headset for my nephew, though, because it was on sale on Black Friday and was more colorful. These work fine, but they lack the "cool" factor :-)

They are compatible with PCs, laptops, tablets and smart phones. I use mine at the office for that reason. I have not had mine long enough to comment on their durability. Hope this helps.
