• the "error" is due to something being wrong with the disc not the player

• It can not read disc: because disc is bad scratched or warped or is some way screwy, you dropped unit and read head is out of whack. Try another disc.

• It may be if the disc you are using are encoded in a different format that the player does not recognize.
