Yes, it is wireless and has controls on the top of the speaker to adjust volume and turn on/off.

There is a button on top to turn it on and then you stream using bluetooth. The volume button on your phone and on the speaker control the volume.

Actually this works as a Bluetooth (wirelessly) and as a wired unit as well! There is a headset style jack in the back next to the usb port. There are volume and power/bluetooth controls s well. It's a great little unit,especially for the price (if still on sale for $19.99). I gave some out as gifts and everyone loved them!
