I know that if it is synced with a bluetooth enabled phone, it can be used as a speaker phone.

Please try again later.Yes, you can answer calls, The manual says you can reject a call by pressing and holding the phone button on top of the speaker, and also a last number called function by double pressing that same button (I haven't tried that). The manual doesn't say anything about automatic shutoff, so the speaker may stay powered until you turn it off.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If the speaker is on you can use your phone you can talk while its connected. You would use it like your phone is on speaker. If the speaker is not in use after some time it does power off where you have to reconnect.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If the UE Boom 2 is on and is connected to your phone, you can answer calls with it, but it is basically just on loudspeaker phone. The UE Boom 2 will stay on if it is being used, if not it will power off within some time.
