• i use an SL1, check the timer option, it should has an icon for remote.

• Yes; this is the camera I have, and it works perfectly. Cheap alternative that works just as expected. Be sure to be in the 10 Sec/Shutter Remote mode, for the shutter time setting.

• Yes it will work. I have the SL1 and have not had any problems with it! Just make sure you change the setting on your camera for remote shutter.
