• The remote I bought was specifically for Canon which means I can't use it for Nikon nor for Sony or other brands. Make sure you bought the correct remote for your camera. Also on the package of the product it says to which brand it is compatible to.

• Is the shutter release specifically for Nikon? The ones for cannon will only work with cannon and vice versa. Hope this helps!
