“Does the camera capture audio on its own or do I really need to get the Insta360 X3 external microphone?”

• The camera does capture audio, when played back the quality is decent. For what I use it for I don’t think an extra mic is needed.

• Yes the Insta 360 X3 records the video on it's own. However if you need a good and higher quality audio you can mount an external microphone.
