“When this hits the end of the tape (play or ff/rw), does it continue to put tension on the tape or do the motors stop?”

• When in Play mode, the motors do automatically stop at the end of the tape. However, when in FF or RW modes the motors do NOT stop - and will continue to put tension on the tape.

• Yes and the tension could be a problem for older cassettes. On some of my tapes the tape came off the spool and I had to open it up and rethread the tape back on. I would recomend stopping the tape as close as you can to the end to avoid this.
