• If you put the side that you are not using back into the charge case and close the lid, the headphone that you are using will still work in your ear.

• Right side is the dominant side. Can't switch, from what I can tell.

• Hello Rusty, thanks for your question! The left earbud does not work independently. It relies on a different radio technology to connect with the right earbud, while the right earbud connects to your phone via Bluetooth.
