• The earbuds will power off after 3 minutes of standby. You will need the case to power back on. You may definitely leave the case at home as long as you have audio playing in the meantime :)

• I leave the case in the car all the time when I run into the store. And I usually just have one earbud in. As long as you don't let the earbud idle too long and you keep your phone in range, that's all that matters. These buds have no manual power on/off button, so if it idles too long while it's away from the case, it will shut off and you can't use it until the bud makes contact with the case again.

• That would be obvious, the case is only used for storage and re-charging, have fun running without needing the case.
