• The quality is just as good but at a premium price.Its big advantage is its convenience. No discs to store mostly used in high end systems with a dedicated theater

• It is practically the same. I use my Panasonic UB9000 for disks. This Kaleidescape blows my mind. It's like renting a disc copy of a 4k movie and getting it within the hour instead of waiting for it in the mail.
