Great question! The Kano PC's operating system is Windows 10 Home.

Mine came with plain Windows 10 Home, no S Mode. Kano does sell a version with S Mode.

Apparently, my namesake has nothing better to do than repeat his thoughtless complaint, As I Commented on his review: Kano is absolutely correct, which LuisC (no connection!) would have realized if he had bothered to research the subject, read a tech article on occasion, or even just contacted Kano directly (Kano Support provided a link right there, in the very image he attached!!). Just goes to show you that there is no such thing as idiot-proof if someone is insistent on going that route. Don't know the age of the person for whom this item was purchased, but if he/she was at least out of grade school, that child could probably have schooled the parent on this subject. Giving this product such a low rating without any effort at thinking whatsoever is like buying a new car and returning it because it wouldn't fill it's own gas tank.

No, it's Windows 10 S !!! I bought this because of the answers on this thinking I was getting a windows 10 Home operating system but it is not, it's windows 10 S mode. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh, now I have to waste my time and take it back to the store.
