Aheb, You don't have to mount it upside down to achieve what you'd like to do. When you retract the mount you can place the arm so that the offset is on the left side or the right side. If you have any other questions, click the support button on our website to get in touch with us directly.

I love them (I bought 2 from the company) one had a longer swing for my 55", the other was for a 40". Both are awesome and swing and move beautifully
