“Is this mount compatible with the TLC 50 inch 4 series flat screen TV? The back of this TV extends out from the bottom compared to the top. Will the attachment of the bracket to the back of the TV be secure and safe after mounting? Thanks.”

If the mounting arms line. Up and attach firmly to the TV, the TV who'd mount securely to the arm. The second part, is the TV within the 80 pound weigh limit of the arm. If it is close, buy a dual rail system and do without the flexibility offered by the scissor arm mount.
