“Recently had BestBuy location install this unit in my 08 Chevy Silverado, haven't had a chance to take it back yet but when I get the volume to around 30 the unit will shut off and reboot. Instillation error or problem with the product? Kenwood dnx574”

Neither, it sounds as if you are overpowering your speakers. Raising the volume on a aftermarket may exceed wattage on factory speaker. If it does overpower speaker, unit turns off for protection.
