I personally do not see the need to remove it I can make the pods and I don’t see the brewing filter getting wet by it or the machine not acting accordingly. I guess I might have to re-answer this question when I try it and see if there’s a difference for myself. I won’t unless it needs to be removed. I don’t think it needs to because I have left it and my machine works get.
