My suggestion is to make a 4 sided cardboard tube the size of this unit and crease the sides so they fold in and slide this into the location you would like to use. You can then put your hand inside the tube to expand it. This is how I tested the fit and found it would work although I had to remove 2 seat bolts to get the real unit to slide in. This was on a second generation Tacoma however the technique would work on any vehicle.
