No, the silverware basket is one unit

Please try again later.No the basket isn't splittable. it's just one large one. but you may be able to use a smaller one from a previous dishwasher if you have one, or find a used or new one that's smaller that fits online. We kept the old smaller one out of our prior different brand washer and it works, and then if there's alot of silverware or small items, we use the one that came with this dishwasher. It does a really good job cleaning the dishes and is quiet.
