Hi brat, the KDTE334GPS will open the detergent dispenser several minutes after the cycle starts, we do not have an exact time as certain cycle options may change the number. We suggest if you need to add a dish, open the door, let the spray arms stop spinning and check the dispenser, if the detergent has not yet been released you can add dishes, but if it is open, you will need to wait until the next cycle as it may not be cleaned.
