Hello artist! Because appliance life depends heavily on the environment and conditions under which it is used, we cannot effectively say how long an appliance will last.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I too, asked that very question to the salesman, as the dishwasher I was replacing was still operating perfectly. The reason I replaced a perfectly functioning machine was that, after 29 years, the door seals were beginning to leak, causing water to leak out onto the kitchen floor. Rather than replacing the door seals only to have the machine probably go out for another reason I elected to purchase a new machine. When I asked the salesman if I could expect another 30yrs. of service from this new unit, he grinned and stated that "they just don't make things like they use to!" so as to what is the dishwasher's life expectancy... basically how lucky do you feel?. I went ahead and purchased "insurance" on the unit in the form of the longest extended warranty I was able to get.
