Hello Andrew, there are two drying options. The first is Extended ProDry-Dries dishes with heat and a fan. This option, with the use of rinse aid, will provide the best drying performance. Plastic items are less likely to deform when loaded in the top rack. Turn the ProDry™ option off for an air dry. The second is Extended Heat Dry- Dries dishes with heat. This option, with the use of rinse aid, will provide the best drying performance. Plastic items are less likely to deform when loaded in the top rack. Turn the Heat Dry option off for an air dry. Hopefully this information is beneficial to you. Thank you for your inquiry regarding our KitchenAid appliances!
