• we had that same issue and had to get our dispenser replaced by a technician.

• Detergent, we would recommend you contacting KitchenAid's call center for troubleshooting at 800-253-1301. The hours of operation are Monday & Tuesday 8AM - 8PM and Wednesday through Friday 9AM - 7PM Eastern Standard Time.

• I have not, no. Are you referring to the rinse aid or the actual detergent? If it's the detergent and you're using a pod, make sure it's not stuck between the door and the lip of the dispenser as that might hold it closed.
