Hello! For KitchenAid® 0" Wall-Mount, 3-Speed Canopy Hood model KVWB400DSS, you would need an extension kit, per the Installation Instructions. The range hood chimneys are adjustable and designed to meet varying ceiling or soffit heights, depending on the distance “X” between the bottom of the range hood and the cooking surface. For higher ceilings, a Stainless Steel Chimney Extension Kit Part Number W10337357 is available from your dealer or an authorized parts distributor. The chimney extension replaces the upper chimney shipped with the range hood. The canopy hood is factory set for venting through the roof or wall. For non-vented (recirculating) Installation, see “For Non-vented (recirculating) Installations Only” in the “Connect Vent System” section. The Recirculation Kit Part Number is W1027063. Charcoal filters are also required for non-vented (recirculating) installations. The Charcoal Filter Kit Part Number is W1027068. All openings in ceiling and wall where canopy hood will be installed must be sealed.
