That depends on the wiring of your home and what other appliances are on the same circuit; if you have an issue, it wouldn't be related to this toaster specifically, but any toaster of similar specs. An electric toaster, heater, hair-dryer, etc. creates heat by converting electricity; therefore the higher the temperature the more electricity is needed to maintain it (amps). Most household circuits are safe for 15 amps, so if you're running a microwave and a toaster simultaneously and they each use 10 amps, then you're using 20 amps and the breaker will be tripped. The trick is to figure out which appliances on each circuit are the biggest energy suckers and not turn them on at the same time (ex. Don't run a hair-dryer and a vacuum cleaner at the same time).
