The keyboard will lay flat. There is no port for the USI active Pen, sold separately on this Chromebook. You will need to carry the pen separately. This is a Chromebook. Whether this Chromebook will work for a specific user will depend on the APPs the user will be using and the requirements and compatibility of the APPs the user wants to use. The Lenovo Duet Chromebook uses the Chrome Operating System and is compatible with the Google Play Store APPs. We recommend you check with the software publisher's web sites of the APPs the user will need to use, for their compatibility with the Chrome operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.
