The Lenovo Chromebook Duet uses the Chrome Operating System and can not directly network with a Windows-based computer. There are some software APPs that are available on both the Chrome and Windows Operating Systems and you would be able to open the files from those programs within either operating system. We recommend you check the compatibility of the specific files you want to have available across both Operating Systems for their individual compatibility. Microsoft Office is one of those programs that is available in both Operating System Languages. You would be able to open a file created on a Windows-based computer on the Duet Chromebook, using either Microsoft Office for Chrome and/or Google Docs. Google Docs is completely compatible with Microsoft Office Programs.
