Hey, The policy, including the details of what's covered, can be viewed at the following web address: https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/thinkcentre_pdf/l505-0010-03_en_update.pdf, and installing another M.2 shouldn't void your warranty, but if there are any components damaged during installation, these damages will not be covered.
