That’s completely normal — when you connect your Yoga 9i Aura 14" OLED to an external monitor via HDMI, the touch function only works on the laptop’s built-in display, not on the external screen. HDMI doesn’t transmit touchscreen input, it just carries video and audio. So nothing’s wrong with your laptop — your touchscreen will still work as expected on the Yoga itself, but the external monitor won’t support touch unless it’s a separate touchscreen monitor with its own USB connection for touch input. Hope this helps!

What you described can occur and here's some steps that you can follow as we look to resolve this issue. To start, make sure that windows are set to an extended desktop for the second monitor (press Windows Key+P to check or correct). This should cover all multi-monitor situations. Each added monitor should just result in another screen needing to be touched or skipped with [Enter]. 1. Click the Start Menu and start typing [Control Panel]. 2. When visible Click [Control Panel]. 3. Within the Control Panel, select [Hardware and Sound] 4. Within Hardware and Sound, select [Tablet PC Settings] 5. Click [Setup] 6. Touch the touchscreen that is asked to touch ("Touch this screen to identify it as touchscreen"). If it is not a touchscreen, press [Enter]. 7. Press [Enter] when it asks you to. 8. Touch the touchscreen that is asked to touch ("Touch this screen to identify it as touchscreen"). If it is not a touchscreen, press [Enter]. 9. The application should close when all attached monitors are accounted for. You can now test if touch works on both screens (you cannot use the touch of both screens simultaneously). 10. Restart the computer and verify if the touch works on the Yoga laptop while extending the display to the connected display. Please feel free to reach out to us again should you have any questions or need further assistance.
