• A:Answer Hi, Macy, yes you need a smartphone. We suggest that if you do not have a smartphone you can ask someone you know with a smartphone to help you setup your hearing aids.

Q: QuestionDoes Lexie plan on introducing a rechargeable model that features telecoil? As I understand, the battery Lumen model is the only one currently available with the telecoil feature.

Q: QuestionWe plan to order this hearing aid online since it doesn’t seem to be sold in the stores. If we cannot get this to work or my husband finds this does not seem to help are we allowed to return for a refund.

Q: QuestionI have a Samsung Android phone. Are there any product or Bluetooth limitations using these hearing aids with Samsung phones?

• A:Answer Hi Robert, to manage your Lexie Lumen hearing aids you'll need to connect your hearing aids to your smartphone via Bluetooth and download, and connect to, the Lexie app. There aren't any limitations as the Lexie app is compatible with any Android device with an Android 7.0 or above operating system. Please note that Lexie Lumen hearing aids do not stream music or take calls.

• A:Answer Unfortunately not. It is very important to use the Lexie app to set up and manage your hearing aids. It is particularly important to use the app for the Lumen hearing aids, because a hearing test is conducted to customize the hearing aids to your hearing loss profile. You will be able to adjust the volume and change between the different listening environments/programs by adjusting the buttons located on your hearing aids or via the Lexie app. Remember, if you would like to make any adjustments to your hearing aids through the app, you will need to ensure that your hearing aids are connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth.
