Yes, it allows for venting out though the back to a ventilation system. There are options for above and behind the oven.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The microwave blower can be rotated to vent out the top or back, pretty much like all other microwaves. My old microwave (whirlpool) vented out the back and through the wall, and my new LG easily converted to venting out the back. The vent location lined up perfectly with the existing hole in the wall. I suspect the venting out the top location would line up well for your case; if you look at the installation instructions online and compare to other brands, the vent location seems to be universally consistent. HOWEVER, this LG is about an inch shorter overall than my whirlpool, so the mounintng brackets and cabinet hole locations seem to vary from microwave to microwave. The fan on the LG has good airflow, but is a bit loud even on the low setting.
