“Is the handle metal or plastic I have an above the range KitchenAid microwave and the plastic Handle got brittle from the cooktop heat and crumbled. Called two different repairmen and they said not repairable as the glass breaks. Both said had tried on this model and always breaks. Refused to repair”

• Plastic (magnet doesn't stick) seems very sturdy and it is not attached to the glass. To replace if ever needed it has 2 screws holding it on.

• Plastic. 2 screws hold it. If you go easy on it it will last ya. I like it.
