I don't think so - there is a bulge on the bottom that would prevent it from laying flat. You would need a version that does not have the vent.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you put it on a shelf, you would have to cut out outlets to allow for air to come into the vents if it is over a stove. If not over a stove, I would just sit it up an inch or so. This would allow air into the vents to facilitate cooling of the unit while operating. Mind you, we have been waiting for parts missing in our discounted unit. But as long as you have circulation around the unit to keep it cool; I see no reason why not. Additionally, these types of appliance are not usually placed in a cabinet, though! Read the owner's manual or call the company to get the facts about such a situation. Myself, I'm terrified of fire so I would not do it personally! But who knows, with innovations and cooler operating temperatures it might not be a problem. But, I would contact the manufacturer first. That's all I got. Doug
