• No, it is designed for over the range. Was the underneath light left on? It gets extremely hot inside and out.

• No this cannot be a countertop microwave with this microwave is made to go up above your stove and trust me it’s pretty cool it’s got lotta settings and it works really really well it is probably one of the best microwaves I’ve ever had
