“Optical cable quit working with fire stick. Using a splitter with my projector. I can see red light in optical. Blue tooth works but fades in and out which is very annoying. Think optical cable defective? Tried all fire stick/ LG suggestions”

Be cautious about looking into the Optical Digital Audio port for the LG 2.1-Channel 300W Soundbar System with 6" Subwoofer - Black, Model # SL4Y, that infrared light can be damaging to your eyes. If you can see the red light, that means the port is working and it is sending the infrared signal. That would only point to your Optical cable being defective. Try another Optical cable or check the splitter that you mentioned you are using...^IFV
