We live in a mobile home, our space is good but not super big. So the sound from this Soundbar is good & goes well with our new 70" TV. We are also in a 55+ community, we like the sound effects, especially with action movies, sports, but it all depends on how big your place is. Hopefully this helps

The LG SL4Y 2.1 Channel 300W Sound Bar w/ Bluetooth Streaming is a Class II Bluetooth device which has a range of about 10m (33 feet), but some building materials, electrical conduits in the wall, other devices that operate in the same frequency as the Soundbar like a microwave oven, your router, a wireless telephone etc, can block, interfere, or attenuate the signal. The closer the main unit and the subwoofer, the better sound quality. ^CP
