A:AnswerThe LG 24 Inch Wide QuadWash™ Front Control Dishwasher - Stainless Steel, Model # LDFN4542S, does not have a drain button.
You can perform a drain only cycle on the dishwasher to drain standing water, by pressing and holding Start for three seconds until the cycle stops. Once the dishwasher finishes draining, the power turns off...^Ivan.
A:AnswerHello there, Lyn. We understand your inquiry about the "bE" or "6E" error code on your LG 24" Front Control Built-In Dishwasher. The "bE" error code typically indicates the use of an improper detergent or an issue with the appliance's leveling. To resolve this, please ensure you are using a detergent specifically designed for an automatic dishwasher and that the dishwasher is properly leveled. If suds are visible, you may also run an AUTO cycle with 4-7 ounces of milk in a shallow bowl on the upper rack to help eliminate them. If the issue persists, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport and our team will be more than happy to explore possible solutions.

A:AnswerYou wire your dishwasher yourself. The bottom of the dishwasher has a panel (black strip in the picture), that comes off. There are terminals for the wire. The other end of the wire can either be a plug or be hardwired to the wall.
A:AnswerI’ve had this for a year and mine does the same thing. It’s so annoying. LG has been worthless. Who designs a dishwasher to drain so much. It’s up to 20 times a cycle. 3 to 4 flash drains every 10 minutes. It’s unnerving. Why would anyone want this? It’s supposed to be a quiet operation 42 db. But instead you get the Niagara Falls every 10 minutes. No. I’ve even had both a Best Buy and LG tech come out and look at it and they both said that it was excessive and despite LG tech sending his report the LG corporate tech said that it is normal. Again worthless customer service. I can’t stand the noise of the frequent draining.
A:AnswerTo activate or deactivate the button sounds press and hold dual zone and energy saver simultaneously for 3 seconds. The error alert sound cannot be turned off.

A:AnswerHello there, Riss. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re glad to hear your LG LDFN4542B Dishwasher has served you well over the past two years. We understand your situation with the flickering lights and power—let’s look into this together.
In many cases, flickering lights or power interruptions can be linked to a temporary electrical fluctuation or an issue with the outlet's power supply. We recommend checking if the dishwasher is connected to a dedicated 15-amp circuit without any extension cords or multi-plug adapters, as these can cause unstable voltage. It’s also helpful to perform a simple reset by turning off the circuit breaker to the unit for about 10 seconds, then turning it back on to reboot the control board.

We understand that the unit is designed to provide you with flexible cycle options to suit your preferences. To operate the dishwasher without a dedicated drying cycle, we understand that you can simply ensure that the "Extra Dry" or "Night Dry" options are not selected before starting your wash. Additionally, we understand that this model utilizes a hybrid drying system that relies on the heat retained in the stainless steel tub; therefore, you can further minimize drying by opening the door slightly once the wash cycle is complete to allow steam to escape naturally. We understand that having full control over your appliance's energy usage and cycle settings is important for your household needs.
