No you can not download the app. You must use Roku Stick, Amazon firestick or Xbox.

Need a degree in electronics or IT to get anything to work correctly and right now I am not going to pay someone to set it up. The online guide is not helpful. Only thing I can get to work are the two HDMI ports, which I have my Amazon Firestick and DVD player hooked up to. Would have kept my old TV but wanted a larger screen and one of the HDMI ports was not functioning, but as long as I am able to use my Amazon Firestick and DVD player on this TV, I am happy for the moment.
